We are seeking experienced Directional Drilling Operators to join our Livonia, Michigan-based crew to become an integral part of our growing team, completing drilling work for a variety of projects serving the telecom, gas, water service and electric markets.

We are also offering a one-time $1,500 milestone bonus for all field new employees paid out in two (2) increments over the first 12 months!

What You Will Do:

In this role, you will operate and manage horizontal directional drilling equipment in the telecommunication, gas, water services and electric markets. With your expertise, you will need to be able to make quick and accurate judgements to successfully complete drilling projects. You will excavate and trench for upcoming bore projects, assist in potholing and remediation, execute all survey information, confirm with locator/lead the bore path to drill, and assist with setting hand holes and completing tie ins. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is safely maintained and in working order, and then mobilizing equipment to the site and operating in a safe manner. Another responsibility of this position is completing all required administrative paperwork (e.g., daily forms, bore logs, maintenance, and project tracking information). Finally, you may have other responsibilities assigned as needed.

• Are at least 21 years old
• Have a valid driver's license with a clean MVR record; CDL strongly preferred
• Are willing to undergo a DOT physical and drug screen
• Have experience operating heavy equipment and machinery
• Have technical skills and understanding of drilling equipment and processes
• Have working knowledge of utility depths and placements
• Have general knowledge of construction practices
• Are able to read blueprints, underground utility plans and interpret work assignments
• Have experience with iOS Operating Systems, preferred
• Understanding and willingness to learn and work well with other team members
• Strong work ethic, punctual and reliable
• Attention to detail and the aptitude to ask questions and problem solve
• Possess solid verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Flexibility to overtime, nights, weekends, and/or travel out of town/out of state based on project & location needs
• Flexibility may be required to report to multiple different shop locations or directly to the job site, based on project needs
• Are comfortable working outside in all weather conditions
• Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, crouch, kneel, bend, and reach in order to complete job duties
• Have strong interpersonal skills and like working as part of a team
